Why each part is there

Standard headings: the parser uses them to split your CV into fields. One column: some parsers read columns across the page instead of down. Dates as text: "Mar 2023 to Present" lands in the date field; a timeline graphic does not. Selectable text: a scanned page or text inside an image cannot be read at all. Skills as words: logos and rating bars carry no searchable text.
